I’m in my little Ionian cottage working overtime to finish my next novel. But things here in Greece are so perilous, at such a momentous turning-point, that I felt bound, in honour to this country which has been so kind and hospitable to me for so many years, about the troubles it faces, and which have all too often been so poorly reported.
